Second in Command (SIC) - Challenger 350

Purpose of Position:
This position is for a qualified SIC candidate to operate a Challenger 350 aircraft based in TEB. The position is part of a four-pilot account supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and involves both Part 135 and 91 operations. Preference is given to candidates residing within a two-hour drive of TEB; however, commuting is available.
Responsibilities:
The SIC is responsible for ensuring the aircraft is operated in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner, adhering to all company and regulatory requirements while providing exceptional service to passengers. Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring Safe Operation of Flight:
- Verifying crewing and trip assignments comply with company and regulatory standards.
- Completing flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance tasks as needed.
- Leading required briefings and mitigating operational risks using the Threats, Plans and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology.
- Adhering to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and coordinating with company personnel as required.
- Acting as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as outlined in company policy.
- Completing all pre-flight aircraft tasks, including verifying maintenance status, to ensure mission capability. Recording any discrepancies in accordance with company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring all ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are completed according to SOPs.
- Conducting passenger briefings as per company policy and regulation. Providing the highest level of customer service and accommodating any special needs of passengers (e.g., physically challenged).
- Utilizing Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) to communicate clearly and promptly with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
Delivering an Exceptional Service Experience:
- Providing quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience.
- Investigating and resolving service deviations promptly.
- Collaborating with crew members and EJM internal partners to deliver a consistent service experience to owners and passengers.
- Resolving conflicts and challenges in a professional manner.
Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Adhering to the company's SMS program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through designated channels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs):
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- A valid ATP is required.
- FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet is mandatory.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
Minimum Time Requirements:
PIC:
- Total flight time: 3500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
SIC:
- Total flight time: 2500 hours
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 500 hours
- Instrument: 150 hours
- Jet: 250 hours
- Turbine Engine: 100 hours
- Time in Type: 50 hours
Base Salary Range:
$110,000 - $432,000
