Part 121 ATR Captain – Billings, MT
Empire Airlines seeks a highly skilled and experienced Part 121 ATR Captain to join its team in Billings, Montana. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting safe, efficient, compliant, and professional flight services, adhering to all FAA regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities:
- Safe and proficient operation of the aircraft throughout all phases of flight, including meticulous monitoring of flight conditions, weather patterns, cargo safety, and fuel requirements. This role requires making informed go/no-go decisions and selecting alternate destinations when necessary.
- Maintaining complete command and control in all flight situations, ensuring clear and effective communication with air traffic control, dispatch, and other relevant personnel. Accurate reporting of flight hours, adherence to FAA rest requirements, and prompt reporting of any aircraft irregularities to maintenance are essential.
- Providing effective supervision and evaluation of flight crew. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable regulations, procedures, and company documentation is crucial. The Captain will serve as a positive and communicative leader, fostering a collaborative and professional atmosphere.
- Diligent review of company communications, timely submission of all required documentation, and adherence to established reporting procedures.
- Acting as a role model for ethical conduct, maintaining a professional work environment, and supporting the mission and values of Empire Airlines.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive weekly salary ranging from $2,116 to $2,268 ($110,032 to $117,936 annually).
- $50,000 sign-on bonus for Billings-based ATR Captains.

Qualifications:
- ATP certificate with MEL rating.
- First-class medical certificate.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Adherence to the company's FAA/DOT Drug and Alcohol Program.
Minimum Flight Experience:
- 2500 total flight hours (TT).
- 1000 hours as pilot in command (PIC).
- 1000 hours in multi-engine land (MEL) aircraft.
- 300 hours in turbine/turboprop aircraft.
- 500 hours of crew time.
- Part 121.436 Pilot Qualification.
- Current IFR currency and proficiency.
Working Conditions:
This position involves both outdoor and in-aircraft work, with exposure to various weather conditions. The role requires physical stamina, including extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, and stooping. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be required. Manual dexterity, clear speech, vision, and hearing are essential for successful performance. Travel to multiple locations may be necessary.
