Initial training includes a refresher program consisting of 8 hours of ground school, 4 hours in a cockpit mock-up, and 3 full-flight simulator sessions, which must be successfully completed before advancing to the A320 Type Rating. Both the Refresher Training and A320 Type Rating are self-funded. Type Rating courses are scheduled throughout February, March, and April. Successful completion of both qualifications is a condition of employment.
