About the Role
As an Aerial Firefighting Pilot with Conair, you will operate specialized aircraft on critical firefighting missions. This role demands precise and safe flying in challenging conditions, including mountainous terrain, both domestically and internationally. Successful candidates will contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to protecting communities and environments from wildfires.
Requirements

Canadian Citizen or possess legal right to work in Canada.

Ability to obtain necessary work visas for international assignments.

Valid Canadian Driver’s License and Passport.

Commitment to residing in Canada during the fire season.

Able to obtain a Canadian Category 1 Medical Certificate.

Minimum of 2,000 hours total flight time.

Minimum of 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience.

At least 250 hours of flying in mountainous terrain.

Recent flying experience within the last 12 months.
Qualifications

Valid Canadian ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) is preferred.

A Commercial Pilot License (CPL) will be considered for candidates with extraordinary experience nearing ATPL qualifications.
Additional Qualifications for Specific Aircraft

For seaplane positions: 500 hours PIC on seaplane in a commercial operation.

For tailwheel aircraft positions: 200 hours on certified tailwheel aircraft.

Note: Lack of seaplane or tailwheel experience will not disqualify other applicants.
