About the Role

FlightSafety International is seeking a Pilot Instructor to provide ground-based training for C-17 pilots. This role involves instructing and assessing the training progress of crewmembers within the established Training System (TS) curriculum, utilizing various training devices and aircraft simulations. The position is based at Charleston AFB, SC.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The role requires the ability to talk or hear; sit, stand, or walk; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. Occasional reaching, stooping, or kneeling is necessary. Candidates must be able to ingress/egress from the simulator and aircraft, work in varying weather and temperature extremes, and lift/move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 35 pounds. Noise levels can range from quiet to extremely loud. The ability to exit the WST via an escape ladder is mandatory.
