Pilot in Command

Chantilly Air Inc. is seeking a qualified Pilot in Command to support the safe, legal, and professional flight operations of company aircraft. The Pilot in Command is operationally responsible for all flights and reports to the Chief Pilot.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Pilot in Command performs all flight duties as assigned and ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a current medical certificate as required by the company and notifying the Chief Pilot of any medical condition that may impair flight ability.
- Advising the Chief Pilot if not current for any assigned operations.
- Performing all duties associated with aircraft operation in a 14 CFR Part 91 environment.
- Promoting a safe operating environment in accordance with FAA and Chantilly Air requirements, proactively contributing to Chantilly Air Inc.’s Safety Management System.
- Maintaining currency requirements in accordance with FAA Regulations.
- Maintaining a 1st Class Medical in accordance with company policy.
- Providing a high level of professionalism and customer service.
- Working closely with and assisting in all department duties as needed.
- Working non-scheduled hours as required.
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Requirements:
This is a Part 91 operation involving both Single Pilot and Crew managed flights. Previous operational experience is required; this is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate possesses the following knowledge and skills:
- 2000 hours total flight time.
- 500 hours turbine experience.
- 50 hours make and model experience.
- 500 hours total PIC fixed-wing time.
- Commercial Instrument Pilot Certificate.
- FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
- Current FAA First Class Medical.
- Valid passport.
- No accidents or incidents.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of pre-employment checks, including:
- Pre-employment drug screening.
- PRIA background check (including any incidents/accidents).
- Credit check.
- DMV check with valid driver’s license.
- Employment verification.
- Must be able to read, speak, and write fluently in the English language.
- Must live within 2 hours of the aircraft’s base of operations at KHEF.
Working Conditions:
The Pilot in Command will work in conditions typical for normal, non-scheduled flight operations. The working environment is subject to varying climate conditions, air turbulence, time zone changes, altitude changes, changing locations, variable hours, dry air, jet fuel and exhaust fumes, and noise levels from engines and other ground equipment.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires physical exertion, including pulling, pushing, kneeling, twisting, climbing, squatting, bending, and lifting of bags and equipment.
