The Opportunity

As Central Mountain Air continues its strategic expansion, the airline invites qualified pilots to assume command of its B1900 aircraft. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the critical responsibility of safely and efficiently operating cargo flights across the airline's unique network, ensuring smooth and timely delivery to its valued customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Command B1900 aircraft for cargo operations, upholding the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Execute flights across Central Mountain Air's diverse network, facilitating reliable and punctual delivery of goods.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all Transport Canada regulations, company operational procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and contribute positively to a dedicated flight operations team committed to excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

Prospective B1900 Direct Entry Captains must satisfy the following comprehensive requirements:

  • Total Flight Time: A minimum of 1,200 hours.
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: A minimum of 250 hours.
  • Relevant Experience: At least 500 hours of experience, which must include multi-engine, multi-crew, Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), and/or turbine experience within a Transport Canada 702, 703, 704, or 705 operation.
  • Licenses & Ratings: A valid Canadian Commercial Pilot License, accompanied by a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) endorsement and a multi-engine IFR Rating.
  • Turbine Engine Experience: Demonstrated prior experience operating turbine engine aircraft is mandatory.
  • Medical Certificate: Possession of a current and valid Category 1 Medical Certificate.
  • Security Clearance: The ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
  • Travel Eligibility: A valid Passport and the unrestricted ability to travel to and from the United States.
  • Legal Right to Work: Must be a Canadian Citizen, a Canadian Permanent Resident, or hold a valid work permit in Canada.
  • Regulatory Compliance: A clean record with no history of Transport Canada violations or suspensions.
  • Physical Requirements: The ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
