Minimum Qualifications for Direct Entry Captains
- A minimum of 2000 hours total flying time.
- A minimum of 1000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
- A minimum of 1000 hours of relevant experience, defined as multi-engine, multi-crew, IFR, and/or turbine experience obtained in 600, 702, 703, 704, or 705 operations.
- Possession of a valid Canadian Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- Possession of a valid Category 1 Medical Certificate.
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
- Must be a Canadian citizen, a Canadian permanent resident, or hold a valid permit to work in Canada.
- Ability to travel to and from the United States without restrictions.
- Physical capability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Compensation & Benefits

- Starting Base Salary: Ranging from $76,473 to $100,000 annually.
- Hourly Per Diem Rate: $5.10 per duty hour.
- Additional Premiums: Trainer Pay Premiums for Training Captains.
- Guaranteed Flying Credits: A minimum of 80 flying credits guaranteed per month.
- Statutory Holidays: 12 statutory holidays banked, available to replace scheduled workdays.
- Retirement Savings: 3% matching Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) after successful completion of the probationary period.
- Scheduling Flexibility: Maximum 18 duty-period schedule, complemented by Wild Card Days and socialized schedule control systems to enhance work-life balance.
