Instructor Pilot
CAE is seeking a dedicated Instructor Pilot to join our team, playing a critical role in developing pilot confidence and skill through high-quality simulator and ground training. The successful candidate will lead training sessions, conduct comprehensive pre- and post-flight briefings, and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) across assigned aircraft platforms, contributing to CAE’s legacy of flight training excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in alignment with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.

Conduct professional and comprehensive pre- and post-flight simulator briefings.

Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for client training and internal course development.

Perform administrative duties, including maintaining accurate training records, instructional qualifications, and recommending remedial training.

Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.

Qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after approximately 1.5 years of service, subject to business needs.
Minimum Qualifications

Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written.

Authorized to work in the United States.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.

Participation in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.

Preferred: Unrestricted PIC Type Rating.

Preferred: FAR Part 135 experience and 3,000+ total flight hours.

Preferred: Experience flying business aircraft.

Prior instructional or training experience.

Ability to tailor training content to a diverse customer base.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate recordkeeping in accordance with CAE and FAA standards.

Demonstrated customer-service mindset and the ability to create a positive learning environment.

Professional character with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements

Constantly ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

Occasionally move into different positions, including confined spaces.

Remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods (standing or sitting).

Occasionally move about to accomplish tasks.

Occasionally adjust or move objects up to 20 lbs.

Occasionally perform repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.
