Responsibilities
The Instructor Pilot is responsible for delivering high-quality flight training in both simulator and classroom environments. This includes:
- Providing flight instruction in accordance with regulatory standards, CAE-approved curriculum, and client requirements.
- Serving as a subject matter expert, guiding clients through their training journey.
- Conducting thorough pre and post-flight simulator briefings.
- Completing training records, recommending remedial training as needed, and maintaining personal instructional qualifications.
- Contributing to curriculum and courseware development as a subject matter expert.
After an initial period of 1.5+ years, and based on business needs, Instructors may have the opportunity to qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.
Qualifications
- Hold or be eligible to receive an unrestricted ATP certificate.
- Possess a minimum of one unrestricted PIC Type Rating.
- Demonstrate a passion for teaching and strong communication skills.
- Possess basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, internet-based programs).
- Be willing to participate in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Authorization to live and work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience flying business aircraft is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements
- Demonstrated hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours with limited breaks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
- Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn.
