CRJ ATP/CTP Instructor Pilot (Part-Time) - Minneapolis

Role Overview
CAE provides a comprehensive training program to develop pilots into world-class instructors and subject matter experts. The CRJ Instructor Pilot will guide clients through their training, ensuring proficiency and adherence to industry standards.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough and professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.

Execute simulator sessions adhering to CAE, aircraft manufacturer, or customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Deliver flight training compliant with the CAE 14 CFR 142 Manual and/or customer training programs.

Accurately and comprehensively complete crew training records to facilitate pilot understanding and smooth transitions between instructors.

Recommend remedial training for pilots not meeting required progress.

Record simulator usage and discrepancies using appropriate procedures.

Maintain instructor proficiency as required by regulations and company policies.

Track the validity of instructional qualifications to ensure continuous qualification for training delivery.

Promote Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles.

Monitor and assist with administrative programs in flight training as assigned.

Serve as a subject matter expert in curriculum and courseware creation when required.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Training Manager.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Availability for a minimum of 10 days per month.

Authorization to live and work in the United States.
-
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and late evenings.

Previous simulator instructor experience is preferred.

Willingness to participate in CAE's DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Current, Unrestricted FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License.
-
CRJ (CL-65) type rating is REQUIRED.

Meet relevant minimum qualification and experience requirements for a Simulator Instructor.

Possess at least one of the following experience requirements:
-
2 years of air carrier experience as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) in operations conducted under Part 121.

2 years of air carrier operational experience as a PIC in operations under 14 CFR Part 91 for a multiengine turbine-powered fixed-wing and powered-lift aircraft requiring an Airline Transport Pilot license and applicable type ratings.

2 years of air carrier operational experience as a PIC in operations under 14 CFR Part 135 for a turbojet airplane requiring an Airline Transport Pilot license with appropriate category and class ratings and, if required, an appropriate type rating for that airplane.

Bachelor's degree in a job-related field or equivalent experience (preferred but not required).

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Working knowledge of FAR Parts 61, 91, and 121.

Proficiency with PC computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Proficiency with iPad skills, including Foreflight, Safari, and navigating multiple applications.

Fluency in English.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate: $31.50 - $93.45 per hour. Actual compensation is subject to evaluation of factors including work experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
