Air Traffic Control Instructor - III (Casual, En Route)
SAIC seeks experienced Casual, En Route Air Traffic Control Instructor-III candidates to support the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team. This role is based onsite at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, OK, providing air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The position involves delivering high-quality simulation laboratory and/or classroom training to diverse student groups.
Selected candidates will primarily assist in the conduct and administration of Course 50148001, Initial En Route Qualification Training. Responsibilities may extend to other courses and Instructional Systems Design (ISD) projects, including the development, revision, and maintenance of ATC Training Courses.
Responsibilities

Deliver simulation laboratory and/or classroom training to students.

Assist in the conduct and administration of En Route Qualification Training courses.

Participate in the conduct or administration of other training courses.

Engage in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) projects, including course development, revision, and maintenance.
Required Qualifications

US Citizenship is required.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Minimum of 3 years of CPC ATCS experience in a civilian FAA ARTCC or equivalent civilian facility.

Experience at a facility equal to or exceeding an FAA ATC-10 facility.

Previous holding of the position of FAA CPC ATCS or first-level supervisory ATCS.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

FAA Certified Professional Controller (CPC) certification.

Ability to obtain and maintain En Route Instructor-III Simulation Laboratory Certification.
Desired Skills and Experience

Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with FAA personnel at all levels.

Strong technical skills with current ATC automation, simulation systems, and procedures.

Knowledge and skills applicable for obtaining radar and/or non-radar simulation laboratory certifications.

Excellent teaching and platform skills, classroom management techniques, and a student-focused drive for continuous improvement.

Operational experience with ATC simulators, including scenario design for simulation platforms.
