Instructor Pilot
CAE is seeking dedicated Instructor Pilots to join our team in the pursuit of aviation excellence. As an Instructor Pilot, you will play a critical role in developing pilot confidence and skill through high-quality simulator and ground-based instruction. You will serve as a subject matter expert (SME), leading training sessions and providing guidance across assigned aircraft platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer expectations.

Conduct professional and comprehensive pre-flight and post-flight simulator briefings.

Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to support client training and internal course development.

Maintain accurate training records, manage instructional qualifications, and recommend remedial training as necessary.

Provide instruction across one or more aircraft types for licenses, type ratings, certificates, and internal qualifications.

Qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman after approximately 1.5 years, contingent upon business needs.
Minimum Qualifications

Unrestricted ATP certificate or completion of ATP Written.

Authorization to work in the United States.

Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet-based programs.

Participation in CAE’s DOT Drug & Alcohol testing program.

Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.

Preferred: Unrestricted PIC Type Rating.

Preferred: FAR Part 135 experience and 3,000+ total flight hours.

Highly desired: Experience flying business aircraft.

Prior instructional or training experience.

Proven ability to tailor training content to a diverse customer base.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate recordkeeping in accordance with CAE and FAA standards.

Demonstrated customer-service mindset with the ability to foster a positive learning environment.

Professional character with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements

Ability to constantly ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

Ability to occasionally maneuver into different positions, including confined spaces.

Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing or sitting) for prolonged periods.

Occasional movement required to accomplish tasks and adjust or move objects up to 20 lbs.

Occasional performance of repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers.
