Fixed-Wing Search & Rescue (FWSAR) Aircrew Instructor
CAE is seeking qualified instructors to join our team at 19 Wing Comox, Canada. This role is integral to the training of Canada's next generation of Fixed-Wing Search & Rescue (FWSAR) aircrew. Responsibilities:

Independently manage and respond to a broad scope of customer requirements to achieve team objectives.

Deliver academic presentations to customers.

Conduct Servicing and Elementary Work training.

Deliver TACCO and Sensor Operator training programs, integrating academic instruction with synthetic environments, including flight simulators and other ground-based training devices.

Contribute to the development of courseware and teaching aids.

Ensure training programs align with specified training objectives and teaching points as outlined in the applicable Training Plan and Quality Standard.

Assess, document, and report on student progress, identifying and addressing any issues or deficiencies.

Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support for ACSO and AESOP roles, both verbally and in writing, to the program and Training Centre team as needed.

Compile student training progress and course debrief reports.

Undertake occasional travel to support CAE projects, with flexibility for overtime as required.
Minimum Qualifications:

Eligibility to work in Canada, holding Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Resident status, or a valid Work Permit.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Controlled Goods Clearance and a Government of Canada Level II security clearance.

Demonstrated experience as a military ACSO, AESOP, or Air Navigator.

Experience as a SAR crewmember (any aircraft type).

Experience as an Ab-Initio or OTU Instructor.

Superior interpersonal and communication skills.

Physical capability to work in confined spaces, such as flight training devices.
Preferred Qualifications:

Formal training in instructional delivery.

Familiarity with Quality Standards, Training Plans, and training media utilized to meet Teaching Points per Training Standards.

Experience authoring and amending multi-media instructional courseware.

Verbal French language proficiency suitable for instruction.

Experience with Airbus 295 aircraft.
Compensation:
The total rewards package includes base pay and benefits, with final compensation determined by experience, skill, location, and internal equity. Base pay range: $91,000 to $136,400.
