Aviation Simulator Instructor - Temporary (Fixed Term)
About This Role
This is an opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated individual to join a leading aviation training organization as a Simulator Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training that meets stringent regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct all training activities in accordance with the Flight Simulator Instructor job description, adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and recommending revisions as needed.
- Prepare comprehensive courseware and training materials, including theoretical examinations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Closely monitor the progress of trainees, developing and implementing action plans to support individuals who require additional assistance.
- Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of training processes, documentation, courseware, and materials utilized by the Approved Training Organization (ATO).
- Actively participate in Progress, Academic & Disciplinary Review Boards, providing insightful recommendations for remedial actions concerning training progress or trainee disciplinary matters.
- Undertake any other duties assigned by the Lead Instructor or Head of Training.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1500 hours pilot-in-command (PIC) experience on a multi-crew jet transport aircraft.
- Valid Simulator Instructor Rating or an equivalent rating or certification.
- Proven experience as a Flight Simulator Instructor or Type Rating Instructor.
- Prior experience in Airline or ATO training environments.
- Possession of an ICAO-recognized ATPL/CPL/MPL with a minimum ICAO English level 4.
- Comprehensive knowledge of civil aviation regulations governing civil aviation training.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels, internally and externally.
- Proven leadership skills and experience working effectively within a multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in basic IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
