First Officer - Eastern Air Express

The First Officer is a key member of the flight crew, working collaboratively with the Captain to ensure the safety, security, and comfort of passengers and cargo. He or she will assist in guiding and coordinating the activities of all personnel involved in flight operations. The position offers a minimum guarantee of seventy-two (72) hours per month and reports directly to the Chief Pilot.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operationally responsible to the Captain on all flights.
- Maintains a current first-class medical certificate and notifies the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, or designee, if a medical (physical or mental) condition impairs the ability to perform the flight.
- Performs all flight duties as assigned by the Captain.
- Assumes the authority to act on behalf of the Captain when the Captain is incapacitated.
- Possesses knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the Captain and accepts delegation by the Captain.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2,000 total flight hours, with at least 500 hours operating a turbojet aircraft.
- Valid FAA ATP License.
- Valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- English proficiency consistent with at least ICAO Level 4 endorsement.
- Passport allowing worldwide travel.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Impeccable safety and training record.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment DOT drug test, and Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
- Possess a valid U.S. Passport.
- Eligibility to work in the United States (US Passport or Green Card holder).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience on a wide-body aircraft.
- CRM experience.
Location:
This is a home-based position within the continental U.S. east of Denver. Specific requirements apply to the designated home airport, including proximity and airline service.
