Head of Standards (CFI), Business Aviation Training
CAE, a global leader in training for the civil aviation, defense and security, and healthcare markets, is seeking an experienced and driven individual to join their team as Head of Training Standards (HoTS) for Business Aviation Training. This is a full-time, regular position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing organization.
About the Role:
The Head of Training Standards (HoTS) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of training delivery across CAE's global network. Reporting to the Global Head of Training EASA, the HoTS will coordinate with the BAT/HAT network to manage instructor and examiner quality, capacity, and strategic planning. This encompasses activities related to EASA, UK CAA, and other FCL-compliant NAA's worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively plan and collaborate with Operations to ensure sufficient Instructor and Examiner qualifications are available to meet global demand.
- Act as a representative of the Global Head of Training EASA/UK CAA.
- Provide support, supervision, guidance, and mentorship to ground school and flight simulation training instructors seeking EASA or UK CAA qualifications.
- Collaborate with the Global Head of Training and local Training Managers or Center Leaders to address instructor performance issues.
- Partner with Training Managers to ensure ground school and flight simulation instructors adhere to approved Operations and Training Manuals, SOPs, and syllabi.
- Champion the company's compliance and safety culture, including SMS & Non-Compliance reporting.
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to address potential client needs.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Possesses an EASA or other ICAO license.
- Holds an EASA instructor qualification 900(a) or (c).
- Demonstrates a proven track record of successful management experience in a multi-cultural, regional, or global setting.
- Offers extensive experience in delivering flight training within the scope of responsibility, showcasing a significant number of instructional hours across various aircraft types and years of experience commensurate with the training center's activities.
- Possesses prior experience within the Business Aviation sector or a training center environment.
- Holds a former or current SFI/SFE/TRI/TRE designation (preferred).
