The Role
The organization is seeking highly experienced aviation professionals to transition into the role of Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI). This position offers a distinct opportunity to leverage existing flight expertise and develop into a world-class instructor and subject matter expert, specializing in advanced business jet platforms.
Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training to become proficient instructors on various aircraft types, including Falcon, Gulfstream, Citation, and Challenger. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Providing expert Synthetic Flight Instruction alongside organizational client partners.
- Conducting occasional classroom-based theoretical instruction.
- Ensuring the accurate, concise, and timely upkeep of all trainee records, adhering strictly to company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Working consistently with state-of-the-art synthetic training equipment and the latest aircraft technologies.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
The ideal Synthetic Flight Instructor demonstrates a profound passion for training delivery and professional development, complemented by a strong customer focus essential for supporting business aviation clients.
Essential Requirements
- Must have held a UK, EASA, or ICAO equivalent pilot license.
- A minimum of 1500 hours total multi-pilot flight time.
- Demonstrated ability to tailor training sessions effectively to meet the varied needs of a diverse global customer base.
- High level of proficiency in the English language (reading, speaking, and conversation).
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and various internet-based programs.
Desirable Attributes and Work Commitment
- A proactive interest in mentoring and developing industry colleagues.
- Exceptional attention to detail in training delivery and record maintenance.
- Commitment to the fixed roster pattern, which includes dedicated days off and up to 30+ vacation days per year (inclusive of bank holidays).
- Must be resident within commutable distance of the training center (ideally within a 1-hour drive or 30 miles), or willing to make appropriate local accommodation arrangements.
- The legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom is highly desirable.
Location and Training Mandates
This role is strictly based out of the Burgess Hill Training Centre. The successful candidate must commit to a 5-day per week onsite attendance schedule.
Important Note: A mandatory training bond will apply to this position. The specific level and terms of the bond are determined by the applicant’s existing experience and current aircraft type ratings.
