The successful candidate will be engaged on a full-time, Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months, operating from the operational base at Middle Wallop, located near Stockbridge, Hampshire.

The Ground Crew Instructor Role
The Ground Crew Instructor is fundamental to the delivery of Phase 2 training for Army Air Corps students. This pivotal position focuses on providing specialist instruction in refuelling operations, ensuring future military professionals are trained to the highest standards in defence, aerospace, and engineering protocols.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
The Instructor will manage and execute all facets of the specialist training program. Primary duties include:
- Delivering high-quality classroom and practical instruction focused on military refuel vehicles and operational procedures.
- Maintaining exemplary Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and ensuring continuous training currency.
- Developing engaging and pedagogically sound training materials, lesson plans, and instructional aids.
- Overseeing the crucial management of the refuel fleet maintenance schedules and fuel accounts.
- Supporting and guiding trainees through monitoring progress, conducting assessments, and reporting performance outcomes.
Essential Criteria for the Ground Crew Instructor
Required Experience and Skills
Candidates must demonstrate proven competency in complex technical instruction, specifically:
- Substantial experience delivering high-level training within a formally structured and regulated environment.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience working with military refuel vehicles.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications for the creation and presentation of professional training materials.
Mandatory Qualifications
The position requires adherence to strict compliance standards related to hazardous material transportation and heavy goods vehicle operation:
- ADR Licence (Modules 1, 2, 3, 4*, 6).
- Full UK Driving Licence with C+E Category entitlement.
Desirable Qualifications
The following certifications are highly advantageous:
- Defence Instructional Technique (or an equivalent teaching certification).
- ADR (HAZMAT) Instructor (DST Registered).
- Completion of a Defence Train the Trainer Course.
Security Clearance Requirement
The applicant must be eligible to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
