Responsibilities

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Current UK issued CAA Flight Crew Licence ATPL (A), fATPL (A), MPL, or an EASA licence meeting UK CAA Third Country CPL and ATPL licence conversion requirements (route 3, 4, 5 or 6).
  • A minimum of 500 hours on a relevant aeroplane type (excluding simulator time).
  • Flown the relevant aeroplane type within the last 12 months.
  • The right to live and work in the UK.
  • Height between 1.57m (5'2") and 1.91m (6'3"). Applications from pilots taller than 1.91m will be considered, subject to a functionality check.
  • Good level of physical fitness.
  • Spoken and written English ICAO level 6.
  • Valid passport with a minimum of 12 months validity before expiry.
  • Valid Class One Medical with a minimum of 6 months validity from contract start.

Definition of a relevant aeroplane type (Part-FCL): A multi-pilot turbo-jet aircraft certified to CS-25 standards or equivalent, or a multi-pilot turbo-prop aeroplane with a maximum certificated take-off mass of not less than 10 tonnes or a certified passenger seating configuration of more than 19 passengers.

Zero Flight Time Training (ZFTT) eligibility: Must have relevant aeroplane type experience within 12 months preceding the commencement of a ZFTT Conversion course.

Pilots holding an EASA licence who previously held a UK Part-FCL licence must upload a copy of their previous UK licence or proof of UK training and licence award.

Important Application Notes

  • Candidates unsuccessful at initial screening, video interview, capacity testing, or assessment centre may reapply after 6 months.
  • Candidates unsuccessful at the SIM stage must wait 12 months before reapplying.
  • Applicants may only apply to one airline within the British Airways group (British Airways, Euroflyer, or Cityflyer) at a time. Reapplication to any of these airlines is restricted until the specified re-apply period has elapsed after an unsuccessful campaign.
  • Successful candidates will enter a hold pool and receive a maximum of two job offers. Declining a second offer will result in exiting the hold pool, requiring a reapplication after 12 months and a full re-selection process.
