First Officer – BA Euroflyer (London Gatwick)

BA Euroflyer is seeking professional First Officers to join our team at London Gatwick. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of British Airways, we operate a short-haul network across desirable European destinations, maintaining the premium service and safety standards of the nation’s flag-carrier. Position Overview

Based in Sussex, our flight programme ensures that crews return to their home base at London Gatwick every evening. First Officers benefit from a fixed-pattern roster, providing the freedom to balance career ambition with personal time, including the ability to preference flights and swap shifts with colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting salary of £65,420 (subject to 2026 pay review), plus approximately £14,500 in allowances (based on 800 flying hours/year) and annual incremental pay uplifts on a 7-point scale.

Candidate Requirements

  • Current UK-issued CAA Flight Crew Licence (ATPL(A), fATPL(A), or MPL) OR hold an EASA licence and meet the UK CAA "Third Country CPL and ATPL licence conversion requirements" (routes 3, 4, 5, or 6).
  • Minimum of 500 hours on a relevant aeroplane type (excluding simulator time) with experience within the last 12 months.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
  • Height between 1.57m (5’2”) and 1.91m (6’3”). (Qualified pilots above 1.91m may apply subject to a functionality check).
  • Good level of physical fitness.
  • ICAO Level 6 proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Valid passport with at least 12 months remaining before expiry.
  • Valid Class 1 medical with a minimum of 6 months validity from the contract start date.

Additional Information

Applicants are reminded that they may only apply to one airline within the British Airways family (British Airways, Euroflyer, or Cityflyer) at any given time. Reapplication periods apply for unsuccessful candidates based on the stage of the recruitment process previously reached (6 months for general stages; 12 months for the SIM stage). Successful candidates entering the hold pool are eligible for a maximum of two job offers.
