Commencing your journey on the short-haul Airbus fleet, you will have the opportunity to transition to one of four long-haul fleets or progress to the rank of Captain on short-haul aircraft. Furthermore, the company offers a diverse range of roles beyond flying, from training to recruitment, ensuring your career path remains dynamic and fulfilling.
What You Bring to the Cockpit:
- A current UK issued CAA Flight Crew Licence ATPL (A), fATPL (A), MPL or a valid EASA licence meeting the UK CAA's "Third Country CPL and ATPL licence conversion requirements" (routes 3, 4, 5, or 6).
- Class 1 medical certification.
- Height between 1.57m (5'2") and 1.91m (6'3"). Pilots exceeding this height may apply but will undergo a functionality assessment.
- A good level of physical fitness.
- ICAO Level 6 English language proficiency (spoken and written).
- A valid passport with a minimum of 12 months until expiry.
Further Requirements & Considerations:
- Pilots holding EASA licences who previously held UK Part-FCL licences should provide relevant documentation.
- Job offers encompass A320, A350, A380, B777, and B787 fleets, with preference given to pilots holding current ratings.
- British Airways values diversity and promotes equal opportunities, embracing applications from all backgrounds.
- Unsuccessful candidates may reapply after a specific waiting period depending on the stage at which their application concluded.
- Applications are limited to one airline within the British Airways family (British Airways, Euroflyer, or Cityflyer) at a time.
- Long-haul suitability will be assessed during the simulator phase, with a limited number of positions available.
- Successful candidates will be placed in a hold pool and may receive a maximum of two job offers. Declining a second offer will result in exiting the hold pool and requiring a 12-month waiting period before reapplication.
