Role Overview:

The First Officer serves as the Pilot Second in Command (SIC) aboard a B737-600NG aircraft, operating flights for passenger and cargo transport. This critical role requires a high level of skill, professionalism, and adherence to stringent safety standards and regulations. The First Officer works closely with the Pilot in Command (PIC), providing essential support and being prepared to assume command if necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operates aircraft to safely transport passengers and cargo.
• Assists the Pilot in Command (PIC) in all phases of flight and is prepared to assume the duties of PIC in the event of incapacitation.
• Ensures the paramount safety of passengers, crew, cargo, and the aircraft at all times.
• Strictly complies with all applicable aviation regulations, company policies, and Air Traffic Control (ATC) directives.
• Performs duties as pilot flying (PF) and pilot monitoring (PM) as assigned during flight operations, skillfully manipulating aircraft controls.
• Conducts thorough pre-flight reviews, including maintenance logs, planned routes, weather reports and forecasts, Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs), and pilot information files (PIFs).
• Maintains comprehensive familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), the Airman’s Information Manual (AIM), aircraft manufacturer's manuals (FCOM, FCTM, QRH), customer-specific procedures (SPM), and the Company’s Flight Operations Manual (FOM).
• Accurately computes aircraft weight and balance and determines takeoff and landing data.
• Undertakes other position-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Possession of a current US DOT/FAA First Class Medical Certificate (with EKG if over 39 years old).
• Hold a valid US DOT/FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with a B737 Type rating, free of restrictions.
• Must possess a current US DOD TS/SCI security clearance.
• Must hold a current US DHS/TSA LAS airport badge.
• Possession of a current US Passport or valid US Birth Certificate is required.
• Must hold a current US state-issued Driver’s License.
• Ability to comply with all US DOT 14 CFR requirements for pilots, specifically Parts 60, 61, 67, 117, 120, and 121, including the age 65 limit, as amended by the customer.
• Minimum of 1,500 total logged in-seat hours as a crewmember in fixed-wing powered aircraft.
• Must maintain training and checking currency as required by Company policy and 14 CFR Part 121, as amended by the customer.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Flat salary based on a balanced workload shared equally among pilots.
• Pay scale determined by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with 12 steps for both Captains and First Officers.
• Paid bi-weekly.
• First Officer base salaries for the initial three years currently projected at $101,000, $135,000, and $149,000 respectively.
• Company direct contribution of 14% (by 2026) to employee 401K plans.
• Four weeks (20 days) of Personal Time Off (PTO) per year for new hires, starting accumulation on the first day, with provisions for carryover and payout.
• Home every night lifestyle.
• Off every federal holiday and most weekends.
• Full pay during training; no training contract.

Work Environment:

The primary work environment is the cockpit of a jet aircraft, which is a confined space potentially subject to high noise levels, temperature variations, and low humidity. The role involves physical and mental demands related to flight operations, including potential exposure to emergencies, adverse weather, noise, vibration, and sensory input bombardment. While work is primarily sedentary, it includes necessary physical actions such as walking, bending, stretching, climbing, and manipulating controls from a sitting position.
