Position Summary

The Human Resources Specialist will be instrumental in executing a wide range of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, and HR compliance. This role requires a professional with a comprehensive understanding of HR principles, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced aviation environment. The Specialist will serve as a key resource for employees and management, contributing directly to a positive workplace culture and the overall success of Alerion Aviation.

Key Responsibilities

Manages the full-cycle recruitment process for various roles, including pilots, maintenance technicians, and administrative staff, ensuring a seamless and efficient candidate experience.
Provides expert guidance and support on employee relations issues, fostering a positive and productive work environment through fair and consistent application of company policies.
Administers compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance while assisting employees with related inquiries.
Supports performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and professional development initiatives.
Ensures adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws, including specific aviation industry regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of compliance requirements.
Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs that align with Alerion Aviation's strategic objectives.
Maintains accurate HR records and utilizes HRIS systems effectively for data management and reporting.
Participates in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within the aviation, aerospace, or transportation industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO).
Strong proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
SHRM-CP or HRCI (PHR/SPHR) certification is highly desirable.
A proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach to HR management.
