Flight Training Instructor - Airbus Miami
Airbus is seeking experienced and passionate Flight Instructors to join their state-of-the-art Training Center in Miami, Florida. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the training of airline crews from around the world, primarily serving those based in the Americas.
About the Airbus Training Center (ATC), Miami:
The ATC Miami is a custom-designed, 110,000-square-foot facility featuring six full-flight simulators, innovative computer-based training classrooms, and cabin door and slide trainers. Equipped to simulate the A320, A330, A340 and A350 XWB families of aircraft, the center trains over 2,000 cadets annually.
The Role:
The Flight Instructor will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality training programs that meet the stringent standards of Airbus Flight Training Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective training sessions utilizing various training devices, adhering to Airbus standard policy and standardization.
- Assess trainee progress throughout the program, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Evaluate trainee performance at the end of each session, generating comprehensive written reports and assigning grades.
- Determine the need for additional training to ensure trainees achieve the required proficiency level.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of training materials and documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; BS/BA degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of operational experience with an airline.
- FAA ATP or Commercial Instrument Rating Multi Engine with an Airbus Aircraft type rating (A320, A330, or A350 preferred).
- Minimum 4,000 hours total flight time.
- Minimum 1,500 hours in a jet category aircraft.
- Minimum 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- Fluent English language proficiency with excellent teaching, briefing, and debriefing skills.
- Significant Simulator Instructor experience (SFI/TRI) on A320, A330, or A350 aircraft.
- Proven ability to write detailed progress reports for airline or regulatory submission.
