Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member acts as an ambassador for Air Arabia, striving to achieve customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image through enhancing the overall passenger experience. They provide exceptional customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the complete flight cycle. The ideal candidate will be ready and fit to operate, ensuring their productivity aligns with established measures and the company's adopted policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities:
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand assigned roles, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, and other relevant information.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on safety procedures to be followed, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies areas of safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to take corrective action in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate, of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Warmly welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately recording necessary data in the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Provides consistent, exceptional customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following the corresponding policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations managed by them.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment prior to takeoff. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty free products are provided before flying.
- Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems or discrepancies on the flight, and closing and sealing duty free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers and assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated as such by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and ensuring a current license.
- Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 to 30 years for candidates without previous experience as Cabin Crew.
- Age: Up to 33 years for Experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: To be in proportion to Age and Height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Physical Fitness: Medically/Physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Able to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages):
- Education: Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are an added value.
- Medical Fitness: Fit to fly, has good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Languages: Must be fluent in Written and Spoken English.
- Preferred Languages: Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Fresh Graduates: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior Experience: Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role in the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality industries is considered an added value.
- License: An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Shift Pattern: Capable of working in a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
- Flexibility: Shows high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Performance: Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
