Job Summary:
As an ambassador for Air Arabia, the Cabin Crew Member is instrumental in cultivating customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image. The role centres on delivering exceptional customer service while steadfastly upholding passenger safety and comfort throughout all flight phases. The successful candidate is expected to be operationally ready and fit, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represents the airline, acting as an ambassador for the brand.
- Ensures timely attendance, professional grooming, physical fitness, and legal readiness for assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to understand flight details, role distribution, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Instructs passengers on essential safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers requiring medical attention onboard.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as necessary.
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, including necessary data entry into the aircraft log book in adherence to airline and regulatory procedures.
- Provides consistent and excellent customer service, addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing distress or difficulties, following detailed policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and participation in the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board products, meals, and charity initiatives, working towards individual and team targets.
- Handles cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations securely and accurately.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency and catering equipment, and other required items before departure.
- Reports any equipment or supply deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is cleaned thoroughly at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are available before the next flight segment.
- Manages the orderly handover and takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies, providing objective evaluations and reporting flight problems or discrepancies.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct and performs the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent, emergency procedures, and educational trainings, and ensuring current licenses.
- Contributes to team objectives by achieving allocated sales targets and supporting overall team efforts.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Possesses clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Certified as medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Capable of swimming with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages):
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is advantageous.
- Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are considered valuable assets.
- Must be fit to fly, possessing good general health without serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
- Essential language requirement: Fluency in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Applications from fresh graduates are welcomed.
- Previous experience in cabin crew or a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is a valuable addition.
- Holding an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- The candidate must be capable of working effectively in shift patterns and during extended hours.
- Demonstrates high levels of flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
