Cabin Crew - Air Arabia

Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member acts as Air Arabia's ambassador, striving to achieve customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image. This is achieved through enhancing the overall customer experience by providing excellent customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the complete flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member is responsible for operating efficiently, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities:
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal documentation for assigned flights.
- Attends "Briefing" to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, and other pertinent information.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on safety procedures to be followed, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Provides consistent, excellent customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to corresponding policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations managed by the Cabin Crew member.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment prior to takeoff. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations, with adequate re-catering and duty-free products provided before flying.
- Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Executes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, providing an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems or discrepancies on the flight, and closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor.
- Performs the duties of "Cabin Supervisor" when designated as such by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops and ensuring a current license.
- Contributes to team effort by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 and 30 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: To be in proportion to age and height
- Clear skin with no marks or tattoos visible while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with aid of a flotation device
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages):
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Fit to fly, has good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this role.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role in the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality industries is an added value.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Shows high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
