Cabin Crew Member - Air Arabia
Air Arabia seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Cabin Crew Member to act as an ambassador for the airline, fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall passenger experience. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle, while maintaining peak readiness and productivity in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, and security/boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times. Identifies safety and security risks, partnering with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers when necessary. Informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions promptly.
- Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Provides consistent, excellent customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties according to operational manuals and relevant instructions. Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets. Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified equipment, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in ensuring thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and adequate re-catering and duty-free product replenishment. Ensures orderly handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per company policies, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting flight problems or discrepancies.
- Additional Responsibilities: Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct. Carries out the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain. Maintains professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedure drills, and educational workshops, ensuring a current license. Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportional to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with a flotation device
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an advantage.
- Fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the airline, aviation, or hospitality industries is an asset.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
