Role Overview:
The Cabin Crew Member acts as a vital ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image through exceptional service. This individual ensures the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew Member maintains operational readiness and adheres to company policies and procedures to achieve optimal productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence: The Cabin Crew Member ensures timely attendance, maintains a professional appearance, and remains physically and legally fit for all assigned flights. They attend pre-flight briefings to receive flight details, understand assigned roles, and confirm security protocols and boarding procedures.
- Safety and Security: This role involves instructing passengers on safety procedures, actively identifying potential safety and security risks and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions. They also provide necessary first aid to passengers and promptly report any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew and Captain.
- Customer Service: The Cabin Crew Member warmly welcomes and assists passengers with boarding procedures, inputting necessary information into the aircraft logbook. They provide personalized customer service, addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and specific needs. This role includes identifying and supporting passengers experiencing stress or difficulties. They also contribute to onboard revenue by promoting meals, products, and charity services, while managing cash and credit card payments securely.
- Crosschecking and Reporting: The Cabin Crew Member conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify adequate supplies and emergency equipment, promptly reporting any deficiencies. They assist in cabin cleaning and the restocking of catering and duty-free items at transit points. The role requires maintaining a detailed handover with cleaning, catering and maintenance staff and compiling post-flight reports, including an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor and any flight-related discrepancies. They are responsible for the proper conduct of passengers and may take on Cabin Supervisor duties as delegated.
- Professional Development: The Cabin Crew Member proactively enhances their professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedure courses, workshops, and maintaining a current license. They actively contribute to team success by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years old.
- Height: Minimum 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: Proportionate to age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin, free of visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Physical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties.
- Swimming: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training: First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures training are highly beneficial.
- Health: Fit to fly, in good general health, without any serious or chronic medical conditions.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluent in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the airline, aviation, or hospitality industries is considered a valuable asset.
- An active cabin crew license is considered an advantage.
- Demonstrates the ability to work in shift patterns, and for extended periods.
- Possesses a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
