Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member acts as Air Arabia's ambassador, striving to foster customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image through exceptional customer service. This role ensures the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the complete flight cycle, while consistently delivering excellent customer experiences. The ideal candidate will be prepared and capable of operating efficiently, adhering to established measures, company policies, and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and adherence to legal requirements for assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to confirm flight details, understand assigned roles, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures:
- Provides clear instructions to passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to take corrective action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as needed.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately recording data in the aircraft log book according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Provides exceptional customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, striving to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other required equipment prior to takeoff. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flight.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight problems or discrepancies, and closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and assumes the duties of "Cabin Supervisor" when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops. Ensures a current license is maintained.
- Contributes to team effort by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportional to age and height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages):
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality industries is an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Capable of working in a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and deliver against policies, procedures, and established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
