Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and consistently projecting a positive corporate image. This is achieved by enhancing the overall customer experience. The role involves providing excellent customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. Cabin Crew members are expected to be ready and fit to operate, maintaining productivity in line with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct
- Ensuring timely attendance, maintaining proper grooming, fitness, and legality for assigned flights.
- Attending briefings to confirm awareness of flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures
- Instructing passengers on safety procedures to ensure their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifying potential safety and security risks and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administering first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informing the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service
- Welcoming passengers and assisting with boarding formalities.
- Providing continuous excellent customer service by attending to passengers' pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifying and assisting passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to relevant policies and procedures.
- Contributing to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program through effective promotion of meals, products, and charity services to meet individual and team targets.
- Ensuring the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports
- Carrying out pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies and the presence of emergency, catering, and other specified equipment, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assisting in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before departure.
- Ensuring an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Completing post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations and reporting flight problems or discrepancies.
- Accounting to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and performing the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintaining professional and safety knowledge through recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, ensuring license currency.
- Contributing to team success by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Requirements
- Age: Between 20 to 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin free from visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is advantageous.
- Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is a plus.
- Capability to work in shift patterns and for extended working hours is necessary.
- Candidates must demonstrate high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is expected.
