Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Air Arabia is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join its team as a Cabin Crew member in Sri Lanka. This position presents an exciting opportunity to represent the airline as an ambassador of exceptional customer service and safety.
Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member will play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall passenger experience by providing excellent customer service, ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the flight cycle. Key Result Responsibilities:
Conduct:
- Maintain punctuality, impeccable grooming standards, and fitness for all assigned flights.
- Actively participate in pre-flight briefings, ensuring complete understanding of flight details, assigned roles, targets, security procedures, and boarding protocols.
Safety Measures:
- Deliver thorough safety instructions to passengers, prioritizing their safety and well-being throughout the journey.
- Proactively identify potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions aligned with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administer first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly inform the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions encountered during the flight.
Customer Service:
- Warmly welcome passengers and assist with boarding formalities, accurately recording relevant data in the aircraft logbook according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by consistently addressing passengers' individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identify and provide support to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to relevant policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other applicable instructions.
- Actively promote on-board meals, products, and the "Charity Cloud" program to maximize on-board revenue, achieving both individual and team targets.
- Ensure secure and accurate handling of cash and credit card payments for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Perform comprehensive pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment are available before take-off. Submit reports regarding any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Contribute to the efficient cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations, ensuring adequate re-catering and duty-free products are available before departure.
- Effectively coordinate and oversee the handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Thoroughly execute post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures, objectively evaluating the Cabin Supervisor's performance, reporting any flight-related issues or discrepancies, and securely closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Provide accurate passenger conduct reports to the Cabin Supervisor, fulfilling the responsibilities of "Cabin Supervisor" when designated by the Captain.
Professional Development:
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and maintain a high level of safety knowledge by participating in regular training sessions, including recurrent trainings, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and by ensuring a current license.

- Demonstrate a strong team spirit by collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve shared goals, including allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportional to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with a flotation device
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages):
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Fit to fly, with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in Written and Spoken English is mandatory.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality Industries is a significant advantage.
- A valid cabin crew license is preferred.
- Capability to work in shift patterns and for extended hours.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and achieve set performance indicators (KPIs).
