Cabin Crew Position at Air Arabia - Sri Lanka Recruitment Drive
Air Arabia is seeking highly motivated and customer-oriented individuals to join its team as Cabin Crew for a recruitment drive in Sri Lanka.
Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, striving to cultivate customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image. This role demands exceptional customer service skills, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the flight cycle. The successful candidate will be adept at maintaining a high level of productivity and adhering to established company policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities:
Conduct:
- Ensures punctuality, adherence to grooming standards, and the necessary legal documentation for assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to receive flight details, roles, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures:
- Provides clear and comprehensive instructions to passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as needed.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Warmly greets passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately recording necessary data in the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA regulations.
- Provides consistent, exceptional customer service, addressing individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets.
- Manages and secures cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items are available. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations, and sufficient re-catering and duty-free products are provided before departure.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports following established policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any problems or discrepancies encountered during the flight.
- Accounts for passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and assumes the duties of "Cabin Supervisor" when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge through recurrent trainings, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensures their license is current.
- Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportionate to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate, with a diploma in Travel/Tourism considered an advantage.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Fit to fly, with good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality industries is considered an asset.
- An active cabin crew license is advantageous.
- Ability to work in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
