Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, striving to cultivate customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall passenger experience. They are responsible for providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle. This role demands readiness, fitness, and a commitment to upholding productivity aligned with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and compliance with legal requirements for assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand role assignments, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, and other relevant information.
Safety Measures:
- Provides clear instructions to passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to take corrective action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately recording relevant data in the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Consistently delivers exceptional customer service by attending to individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment before takeoff. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty free products are provided before the next flight.
- Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems or discrepancies encountered during the flight, and closing and sealing duty free containers.
- Provides an account of passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and performs the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge and remains competitive by attending recurrent training sessions, emergency procedure training, educational workshops, and by ensuring current license.
- Contributes to team effort by achieving assigned sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: To be in proportion to age and height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically/Physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Fit to fly, with good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role in the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality industries is considered an advantage.
- Active cabin crew license is a plus.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
