Air Arabia - Cabin Crew Member (Sri Lanka Recruitment)

Job Purpose:

The Cabin Crew Member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image. They are committed to enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the flight cycle. The successful candidate must be prepared and fit for duty, maintaining productivity in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures of the company.

Key Result Responsibilities:

Conduct:

  • The Cabin Crew Member is responsible for punctual attendance, maintaining impeccable grooming standards, and ensuring their personal fitness and legal compliance for all assigned flights.
  • They will attend pre-flight briefings to receive detailed flight information, understand assigned roles, targets, and security protocols, as well as boarding procedures.

Safety Measures:

  • The Cabin Crew Member will thoroughly instruct passengers on all safety procedures to guarantee their safety and comfort at all times.
  • They are expected to identify potential safety and security risks and collaborate with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective measures in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • They will administer first aid to passengers as required.
  • The Cabin Crew Member will promptly report any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain.

Customer Service:

  • They will extend a warm welcome to passengers and assist with boarding procedures, accurately recording required data in the aircraft log book in accordance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA regulations.
  • The Cabin Crew Member will provide consistently superior customer service, addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs of passengers.
  • They will identify and support passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following the protocols outlined in the Operations Manual and other pertinent instructions.
  • They will actively contribute to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting in-flight meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving both individual and team targets.
  • They will ensure the careful and secure handling of cash and credit card transactions associated with individual sales and donations they manage.

Crosschecking and Reports:

  • The Cabin Crew Member will conduct pre-flight inspections to verify the adequacy of supplies, emergency equipment, catering items, and other specified equipment prior to departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
  • They will assist in guaranteeing the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit points and confirming that sufficient re-catering and duty-free merchandise are provided before each flight.
  • The Cabin Crew Member will ensure a systematic and thorough handover/takeover process of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance teams.
  • They are expected to deliver post-flight briefings and assessment reports in line with established procedures, offering unbiased evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any flight-related issues or irregularities, including the closure and sealing of duty-free containers.
  • The Cabin Crew Member will report on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and will fulfill the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated by the Captain.
  • They are committed to maintaining current professional and safety knowledge through regular recurrent training, emergency procedures drills, educational workshops, and ensuring that their license is valid.
  • The Cabin Crew Member will work collaboratively to achieve team success, related goals, and allocated sales targets.

Important Requirements:

  • Age: Between 20 and 33 years
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
  • Weight: Proportionate to age and height
  • Clear skin, free of visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform
  • Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties
  • Ability to swim using a flotation device

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages):

  • A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required for this role. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered a valuable asset.
  • Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are beneficial.
  • The candidate must be fit to fly, with good overall health, free of serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.

Work Experience:

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this position.
  • Previous cabin crew or customer service experience in the Airlines, Aviation or Hospitality industries is considered a valuable asset.
  • An active cabin crew license is advantageous.
  • The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
  • The ideal candidate must display high adaptability and flexibility to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
  • The candidate must show the ability to successfully meet established policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
