Cabin Crew / Flight Attendant

Job Purpose

As an essential member of the aviation team, the Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image. This is achieved by consistently enhancing the overall passenger experience. The role involves providing excellent customer service while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. The ideal candidate is operationally ready and fit, ensuring productivity aligns seamlessly with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Ensure full readiness for all assigned flights, including timely attendance, impeccable grooming standards, personal fitness, and compliance with all legal requirements. Participate actively in pre-flight briefings to confirm understanding of flight details, role distribution, safety and security checks, and boarding procedures.
  2. Instruct passengers comprehensively on all necessary safety procedures.
  3. Prioritize and maintain the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the flight duration.
  4. Proactively identify potential safety and security risks, collaborating effectively with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate corrective actions in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  5. Administer essential first aid assistance to passengers whenever necessary.
  6. Promptly report any irregularities, discrepancies, or equipment malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
  7. Warmly welcome passengers aboard and provide assistance with boarding formalities. Complete required data entry into the aircraft log book according to Air Arabia and regulatory procedures.
  8. Deliver consistent and excellent customer service by attentively addressing passenger pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
  9. Identify and provide appropriate support to passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, strictly adhering to corresponding policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
  10. Actively contribute to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charitable services, working towards achieving individual and team sales targets.
  11. Ensure the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.
  12. Conduct thorough pre-flight checks of all supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items before departure. Report any deficiencies immediately to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
  13. Assist in ensuring the aircraft cabin is cleaned thoroughly at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before resuming the flight.
  14. Ensure an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
  15. Complete post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, including providing objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems or discrepancies encountered during the flight, and managing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
  16. Account for the conduct of passengers during the flight. Be prepared to perform the duties of a Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
  17. Maintain necessary professional knowledge and safety competency by actively participating in recurrent training programs, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and ensuring the currency of required licenses.
  18. Contribute positively to the team effort, accomplishing related results and actively working towards achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.

Requirements

  • Age must be between 20 and 30 years for candidates without prior experience as a Cabin Crew member.
  • Candidates with previous Cabin Crew experience may be up to 33 years old.
  • A minimum height of 160 cm for female candidates and 170 cm for male candidates is required.
  • Weight must be in proportion to age and height.
  • Candidates must have clear skin without any visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Must be medically and physically fit to successfully perform all Cabin Crew duties.
  • Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

  • A minimum of a Higher Secondary Certificate or a Diploma is acceptable for this role. A Diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered an added advantage.
  • Possession of training or certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is a valuable asset.
  • Must be medically fit to fly, possessing good general health with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is beneficial.
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Fluency in Arabic is preferred.

Work Experience

  • Applications from fresh graduates are strongly encouraged for this role.
  • Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries will be treated as an added value.
  • Holding an active Cabin Crew license is considered an advantage.
  • Must be capable of working effectively in a shift pattern and for extended working hours as required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of flexibility and adaptability in response to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
  • Show proven ability to contribute effectively to team goals and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
