Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and fostering a positive corporate image. This role prioritizes enhancing the overall passenger experience, ensuring both safety and comfort throughout the complete flight cycle. Cabin Crew members maintain a high level of professionalism and preparedness, adhering to established company policies and procedures to ensure optimal productivity.
Key Result Responsibilities:
Conduct:
- Ensures punctual arrival, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and compliance with all legal requirements for assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings, ensuring thorough understanding of flight details, assigned roles, targets, security protocols, boarding procedures, and other pertinent information.
Safety Measures:
- Provides clear and concise instructions to passengers regarding safety procedures, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as needed.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately documenting relevant data in the aircraft log book adhering to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Consistently delivers exceptional customer service, addressing passengers' pre-booked arrangements, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant guidelines.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and promoting the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charitable services, achieving both individual and team targets.
- Ensures accurate and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment are present before takeoff, promptly reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations, confirming adequate re-catering and duty-free product availability before departure.
- Maintains orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any flight-related problems or discrepancies, including the closure and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and fulfills the responsibilities of the "Cabin Supervisor" when designated as such by the Captain.
- Stays current with professional and safety knowledge and maintains competitive industry standing by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, while ensuring a valid license.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 to 30 years for candidates without prior experience as Cabin Crew; up to 33 years for Experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Proportionate to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages):
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Medically fit to fly, with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as a cabin crew member or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality industries is advantageous.
- An active cabin crew license is a plus.
- Ability to work in shift patterns and for extended hours is required.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and achieve results according to policies, procedures, and established KPIs.
