Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, striving to achieve customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image. This individual provides excellent customer service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the flight cycle. Maintaining a high level of readiness and fitness is essential to meet productivity measures aligned with company policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Maintains timely attendance, adhering to grooming standards, fitness requirements, and legal obligations for assigned flights.
- Attends pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand role distribution and targets, and review security protocols and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort throughout the flight.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Warmly welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft log book according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers consistent, excellent customer service, catering to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supports the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting meals, products, and charity services, striving to achieve individual and team targets.
- Ensures accurate and secure handling of cash and credit card payments for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, including emergency equipment, catering supplies, and other specified items, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring thorough aircraft cabin cleaning at transit stations and verifies the provision of adequate re-catering and duty-free products.
- Oversees an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures, providing an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any in-flight issues or discrepancies, and ensuring the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Reports to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct and assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge through participation in recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and by maintaining a current license.
- Embraces a strong team-oriented approach, contributing to the achievement of shared results, allocated sales targets, and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20-26 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience; up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: Proportionate to age and height.
- Clear skin free of visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate (diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus).
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is advantageous.
- Fit to fly with good general health, free of serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (Arabic fluency is preferred).
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Prior experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is highly valued.
- An active cabin crew license is an asset.
- Ability to work in a shift pattern, including extended hours.
- High flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
