Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Air Arabia seeks a highly motivated and customer-centric individual to join its team as a Cabin Crew member. The ideal candidate will serve as an ambassador for the airline, ensuring a positive and memorable passenger experience while upholding the highest standards of safety and comfort.
Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all passengers during the complete flight cycle. This role involves ensuring passenger safety and comfort, promoting a positive corporate image, and delivering a seamless travel experience that fosters loyalty and strengthens the airline's reputation. The Cabin Crew member must be prepared to operate effectively, adhering to company policies and procedures, and contributing to the overall productivity of the team.
Key Result Responsibilities:
Conduct:
- Ensure timely arrival, adhering to grooming standards, and maintaining a high level of personal fitness and legal compliance for all assigned flights.
- Actively participate in pre-flight briefings, demonstrating thorough understanding of flight details, assigned roles, targets, security procedures, boarding protocols, and other relevant information.
Safety Measures:
- Provide clear and concise instructions to passengers regarding safety procedures, prioritizing passenger safety and comfort throughout the flight.
- Proactively identify potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administer first aid to passengers as needed.
- Immediately report any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain, as appropriate.
Customer Service:
- Warmly welcome passengers and provide assistance with boarding formalities. Accurately record necessary data in the aircraft log book, adhering to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Deliver consistently exceptional customer service, addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs with a proactive and attentive approach.
- Recognize and assist passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contribute to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensure the secure and accurate handling of cash and credit card payments for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conduct thorough pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment prior to take-off. Report any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assist in ensuring the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and the provision of adequate re-catering and duty-free products before departure.
- Ensure the orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Prepare and submit post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures. Provide objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, report any flight problems or discrepancies, and properly close and seal duty-free containers.
- Account to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and assume the duties of "Cabin Supervisor" when designated by the Captain.
- Maintain professional and safety knowledge and competitive advantage by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring a current license.
- Contribute to the team effort by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives and accomplishing related results.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 and 26 years for candidates without previous experience as a Cabin Crew. Up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: To be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically/physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages):
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Fit to fly, with good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Must be fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this role.
- Previous experience as a cabin crew member or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality Industries is considered an added value.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrate high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
