Aviation Pilot Specialist (CPL/IR/ME) - UK Operations
2Excel Aviation is actively seeking highly skilled and professional candidates to fill the role of Aviation Pilot Specialist. This challenging position requires dedication to operational excellence, rigorous safety adherence, and the capacity to operate effectively within a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. Initial type rating training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Essential Pilot Qualifications and Minimum Flight Requirements
Prospective applicants must meet the following mandatory flight time and licensing criteria:
- Total Flight Time: A minimum of 1,500 hours.
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: A minimum of 750 hours.
- Instrument Rating (IR) Time: A minimum of 100 hours.
- Night Flight Time: A minimum of 100 hours.
- Licensing: Applicants must hold a valid UK CAA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL), Instrument Rating (IR), and Multi-Engine (ME) qualification.
- Medical Certification: Current EASA/UK CAA Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- Language Proficiency: ICAO English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 6.
Mandatory Operational and Security Requirements
Candidates must possess or be capable of obtaining the following legal and operational prerequisites:
- A valid passport granting unrestricted ability to travel worldwide.
- A valid UK driver’s licence.
- The unrestricted ability to hold and maintain security clearance at the Developed Vetting (DV) level.
- A clean professional and criminal record, with no disqualifying convictions.
Highly Desirable Experience and Professional Attributes
Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following specialized areas:
- Current Multi-Engine Piston (MEP) rating.
- Existing type rating on the B200 or B350 (King Air) platform.
- Demonstrable knowledge of flight trial philosophies and established best practice methodologies.
- Previous association with the UK Armed Forces or experience as an Armed Forces service provider.
- Proven expertise in risk management and safety protocols within an aviation context.
- Experience in project management or similar support functions, especially within an organization characterized by rapid operational changes.
