Eligibility and Qualifications
To be considered for this prestigious position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) on the Airbus A320 aircraft.
- Possession of a current and valid A320 Type Rating.
- Wizz Air UK is committed to supporting international talent and will sponsor a UK work visa for eligible candidates and their immediate families, particularly those without British or Irish ancestry.
Compensation and Benefits Package
Remuneration
- Newly appointed Captains can anticipate an attractive starting salary of approximately £155,000 GBP (equivalent to $210,000 USD) per annum, inclusive of flight pay.
- Remuneration increases significantly with seniority, potentially exceeding £200,000 GBP (over $270,000 USD) annually.
- Captains on a 14 ON / 14 OFF part-time roster can expect a salary of around £100,000 GBP (approximately $135,000 USD) per year.
- Additional earnings are available for line training duties, estimated at an extra £20,000 GBP (around $27,000 USD) annually.
- Compensation for working on scheduled days off is approximately £1,000 per day (around $1,350 USD).
Rostering and Work-Life Balance
- A range of flexible roster patterns is available, including random, fixed 5 ON / 4 OFF, and 14 ON / 14 OFF part-time options.
- The fixed 5 ON / 4 OFF roster provides 25 paid holiday days per year.
- This structured roster allows for the creation of five blocks of 13 days off annually (comprising 4 rostered days off, 5 leave days, and 4 rostered days off).
