Second in Command - Pilatus PC-12-47E

Western Aircraft Inc. seeks a highly motivated and experienced Second in Command (SIC) to join our team operating a Pilatus PC-12-47E under Part 135 regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring weekend and holiday availability.
Job Summary
The SIC will participate in an FAA-approved Professional Development Program, gaining valuable experience in both Part 91 and Part 135 operations. Primarily operating within the Western United States, this role focuses on providing exceptional customer service while adhering to strict safety standards. Candidates must reside within or near Burbank, California.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as Second in Command under the Professional Development Program.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, responding promptly to customer requests.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections for aircraft defects and malfunctions, adhering to checklists.
- Assist the Pilot in Command with preflight preparations, including load planning, fuel planning, weight and balance calculations.
- Monitor engine operation, fuel consumption, and aircraft systems during flights.
- Monitor gauges, warning devices, and control panels to ensure optimal aircraft performance.
- Start engines, operate controls, and pilot aircraft for passenger, mail, or freight transport in accordance with flight plans, regulations, and procedures.
- Conduct post-maintenance check flights.
- Record flight times, distances flown, and fuel consumption in logbooks.
- Flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
- Commercial Pilot License (ASEL) with Instrument Rating.
- Second-Class Medical Certificate.
- Valid US Passport.
- PC-12 experience preferred.
- Prior Part 135 experience preferred.
- Availability for weekend and holiday work.
- Residence within or near Burbank, California.
- Ability to consistently project professionalism in manner and appearance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Other Prerequisites
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to obtain an Airport Issued security badge.
- Valid Driver's License.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work is primarily conducted outside of an office environment with moderate noise levels and varying weather conditions.
- Flight duty and rest requirements are in accordance with FAA regulations.
