As a key member of the Flight Operations team, the
First Officer (DASH 8 Q400)
will report to the Director, Flight Operations, and will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our DH8 fleet. Operations consist of supporting our overseas bases throughout Africa and the Middle East. This is a rotational position consisting of 8 weeks in field, and 8 weeks off.

Safely operate company aircraft as the Second-in-Command and provide support to the Pilot-in-Command.

Ensure parameters for operational control are maintained throughout flights.

Maintain on-time performance and accomplish flight objectives.

Safely operate company aircraft, ensuring the security of the passengers, crew, aircraft, and cargo.

Liaise with the Pilot-in-Command, Voyageur’s Dispatch department, ATC, FSS, and customers.

Ensure all necessary maps, charts, and navigation equipment and readily available on the aircraft.

Actively participate in safety briefings and utilize Voyageur’s Safety and Risk Management system.

Comply with all company policies and procedures, air regulations, and standard operating procedures.

Complete all required operational paperwork as needed.

Maintain qualifications required to crew Dash 8 aircraft.
Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:
Only candidates that meet the minimum requirements will be considered.

Possess a valid CPL or ATPL.
-
Meet the minimum require 1500 total time requirement.
-
Meet the minimum required 500 hours PIC time requirement.
-
Meet the minimum required 250 hours on a Dash 8 aircraft.
-
Meet Transport Canada requirements to operate a Dash 8 aircraft.
-
Current DH8 type-rating.
-
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
-
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to identify solutions.
-
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Willing to work overnight shifts.
Eligibility:
You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company and provide a clear Criminal Background Check, and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to be considered for this position.
