First Officer - Jazz Aviation LP
Job Summary
Jazz Aviation LP, Canada's largest regional airline and Air Canada's primary Air Canada Express operator, is seeking qualified First Officers to join its award-winning team. This full-time, permanent position involves shift work and offers the opportunity to fly to approximately 70 destinations across North America. Successful candidates will be based in Montreal (YUL), Toronto (YYZ), Calgary (YYC), or Vancouver (YVR), with base assignments communicated during ground school.
Responsibilities
Operate approximately 400 daily flights, serving approximately 70 destinations across Canada and the United States.
Qualifications
Licensing & Ratings
- Valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilot License.
- Valid Transport Canada Multi-Engine rating.
- Valid and Current Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating; must currently meet instrument recency requirements.
- Must have passed the IATRA within the preceding 24 months or have passed the ATPL written examination.
- Must meet the Transport Canada English proficiency standard.
Medical & Security Requirements
- Valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical.
- Must be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
Citizenship & Travel Eligibility
- Must hold a current passport at the time of hire.
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident without restrictions.
- Permanent Residents must be able to obtain and maintain crew visa documentation required to operate aircraft within the USA.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 500 hours total flying time.
Resume must clearly outline a breakdown of flying hours (total time, multi-engine time, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Canadian ATPL.
- Two-crew, multi-engine turbine experience.
- Higher total flying time above the minimum requirement.
- Graduates from an Aviation College degree or diploma program.
- Commercial or military flight experience.
- Flight Management System (FMS) and/or glass cockpit experience.
- Internal Jazz referral.
