Aviation Captain / Pilot in Command

About United Therapeutics: A Pioneering Public Benefit Corporation (PBC)

United Therapeutics (Nasdaq: UTHR) is distinguished as the first publicly-traded biotechnology and pharmaceutical company structured as a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC). The organization’s public benefit mandate is to provide a brighter future for patients through the development of novel pharmaceutical therapies and to advance innovative technologies aimed at significantly expanding the availability of transplantable organs.

Founded in 1996 by a family seeking a cure for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH), United Therapeutics is dedicated to developing treatments for rare, deadly diseases. The company currently markets six FDA-approved therapies targeting critical conditions such as PAH, Pulmonary Hypertension associated with Interstitial Lung Disease (PH-ILD), and neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Near-term pipeline efforts are focused on developing additional essential therapies for PAH and Pulmonary Fibrosis (PF).

Recognizing that organ transplantation offers the definitive cure for end-stage life-threatening diseases, the company is actively engaged in creating manufactured organs to address the critical global shortage of transplantable kidneys, hearts, lungs, and livers. United Therapeutics envisions a future where an unlimited supply of tolerable, transplantable organs eliminates the waiting list and cures end-stage organ diseases for which transplantation is currently not an option.
