USDA Forest Service | Pilot

This position requires a pilot holding either an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument and Airplane Multi-Engine Land ratings, or a current and valid FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Instrument and Airplane Multi-Engine Land rating. The candidate must possess a current FAA first or second-class medical certificate. Furthermore, they must maintain all necessary certificates, ratings, and flight hours relevant to the Airplane Multi-Engine category and class.

The pilot will operate diverse aircraft models at low altitudes and varying speeds, navigating challenging terrains such as mountains, forests, and deserts. They will conduct flights during both day and night, transporting passengers and cargo to various destinations. The pilot will serve as pilot-in-command of single-engine land, light, and/or multi-engine aircraft, operating under similar demanding conditions.
