First Officer Position
Position Summary:
The First Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft both on the ground and in flight. This position demands a commitment to exceeding customer expectations while maintaining clear and effective communication with leadership, team members, and dispatch personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reports administratively to the Chief Pilot.
- Primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft during ground and flight operations.
- Anticipates and strives to exceed customer expectations.
- Complies with all applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company General Operating Manual (GOM), Operational Specifications, and departmental operating procedures.
- Maintains clear and consistent communication and coordination with assigned crew members, dispatch, maintenance, and administrative personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management or senior leadership.
Experience & Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2,500 hours of Fixed Wing Total Time.
- Minimum of 500 hours of Pilot in Command (PIC) Total Time.
- International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) compliant.
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate.
- Valid United States (US) Passport (must not be expired).
- Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi/Instrument Rating.
- Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Radio License.
- Current, valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Eligibility to fly internationally into any country or jurisdiction without restrictions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willingness to embrace new challenges as the company grows.
- Residency in Las Vegas or willingness to relocate prior to the hire date.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have and maintain a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Must be able to maintain a seated position in a confined space for extended periods.
Work Environment:
- Work is typically performed while seated for extended durations.
- Interactions with customers and other flight crew members occur in a confined space.
- The position may require spending several days or weeks away from home each week.
- Irregular work hours are expected, and employees may be called upon to fly or receive notification of canceled flights with minimal notice.
