Aviation & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic
A&P Mechanics are responsible for conducting thorough inspections, maintenance, modifications, and repairs on various aircraft models, including Cessna and Beechcraft. This role requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail to ensure aircraft safety and readiness for flight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diverse mechanical tasks on aircraft systems, including diagnosing malfunctions, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, and adjustment to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery.
- Execute troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of turbine engines, including conducting engine run-ups.
- Carry out airframe system and component changes, systems checkout, and install service bulletins and kits on both airframes and engines.
- Utilize various tools and equipment, such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, timing lights, and assorted hand tools, to repair or modify aircraft systems or assemblies.
Qualifications:
- High school education, GED, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required.
- A valid A&P License is essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of 100-hour, annual, and progressive inspection procedures as per FAR 43 is necessary.
- Experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight line maintenance is required.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight line maintenance is preferred.
