First Officer/Senior First Officer - Australian Network (Internal Only)
Texel Air is seeking qualified First Officers (FO) and Senior First Officers (SFO) for its Australian network. This is an internal opportunity for current Texel Air FO/SFOs seeking relocation and for employees in other departments seeking a transition to a Junior First Officer (JFO) or FO role. Successful candidates will be required to relocate to the agreed domicile of assignment.
About the Role:
The First Officer/Senior First Officer will be responsible for performing flight duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers and crew.
Qualifications for First Officer (FO):
- Must possess a current Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Frozen Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority or the Civil Aviation Authority of Australia, contingent upon obtaining a New Zealand ATPL.
- Must hold a Multi-Engine Rating exceeding 10 tonnes.
- Minimum flight time requirements:
- 2000 hours Total Time
- 1000 hours on Multi-Pilot Aircraft (MPA)
- 1000 hours on aircraft types exceeding 10 tonnes Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW)
- Must currently reside or be prepared to reside in Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, or Perth, depending on the available base.
Qualifications for Junior First Officer (JFO):
- Must possess a current Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority or the Civil Aviation Authority of Australia, contingent upon obtaining a New Zealand ATPL.
- Must hold an Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine Rating.
- Minimum flight time requirements:
- 1000 hours Total Time
- 100 hours Air Transport Operations
- 200 hours Flight Instructional Experience
- 25 hours of night flight time on aircraft with a Multi-Engine Rating exceeding 10 tonnes
- Must currently reside or be prepared to reside in Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Melbourne, or Perth, depending on the available base.
Additional Information:
- A training bond, as per the IEA, will be applicable at the calculated direct training cost for command upgrade candidates.
