Successful candidates will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of flights across these diverse and dynamic routes.

The Role

These are 3-year renewable contract positions, specifically designed to appeal to pilots residing in the Australian and New Zealand areas. A significant benefit offered by Fiji Airways includes the provision of commuting tickets between the crew member’s designated contract base and Nadi for the commencement of duty, easing the logistical burden of international assignments.

Remuneration & Benefits

Fiji Airlines offers a comprehensive and competitive package for First Officers, including:

  • Monthly Payment (Year 1): NZD 10,208 (for a standard 70 block hours).
  • Accommodation Allowance: A generous monthly accommodation allowance of NZD 2,240.
  • Excess Flying Pay: Overtime payable for block hours exceeding 70 per month, compensated at 125% of the hourly rate.
  • Flight Duty Pay: An additional NZD 10 per block hour.
  • Time Off: A guaranteed block of 10 days off provided each month.
  • Annual Leave: 24 days of annual leave per year.
  • Sick Leave: 12 days of sick leave per year.
  • Insurance Benefits: Comprehensive emergency medical insurance coverage provided by Longreach.
  • Travel Benefits: Discounted travel privileges for the pilot and immediate family members on Fiji Airways services.
  • Contract Term: Secure 3-year renewable contract term.
  • Operating Base: Nadi, Fiji.

Candidate Requirements

Prospective First Officers must meet the following essential criteria:

  1. Hold a valid A330 or A350 type rating.
  2. Possess a minimum of 1,500 total jet time hours.
  3. Meet specific type requirements:
    • Minimum 500 hours on A330/A350, OR
    • Minimum 1,500 hours on A320/A340, with the applicant obtaining their own A330/A350 rating or Cross Crew Qualification (CCQ).
  4. Have flown on type within the last 12 months (this requirement may be waived depending on circumstances).
  5. Be a maximum age of 60 at the commencement of the assignment.
  6. Preferably hold the right to reside in the United States, Australia, or New Zealand.
  7. Hold a valid ICAO ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License).
  8. Possess a valid First Class Medical Certificate.
  9. Demonstrate ICAO English Level 5 or above proficiency.
