Position Overview
Fiji Airways, based strategically in Nadi, Fiji, is actively seeking highly qualified and experienced A330 and A350 type-rated First Officers for long-term contract placements. Successful applicants will contribute to the airline's expansive international network, operating modern wide-body aircraft (A330, A350, and B737NG/MAX) across destinations including New Zealand, the wider Pacific region, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Hong Kong, and major Australian cities.

Compensation and Benefits

Pilot Remuneration (Year 1, based on 70 block hours)
- First Officer Monthly Payment: NZD 10,208 (for 70 hours)
- Captain Monthly Payment: NZD 17,428 (for 70 hours)
- Accommodation Allowance: NZD 2,240 per month
- Operating Base: Nadi, Fiji
General Contract Conditions
- Contract Term: Three years (renewable).
- Time Off: A guaranteed block of ten days off is provided each month.
- Leave Entitlements: Pilots receive 24 days of annual leave and 12 days of sick leave annually.
- Travel Benefits: Commuting tickets are provided between the crew member’s contract base and Nadi for the commencement of duty. Discounted travel is available for the pilot and immediate family members on Fiji Airways services.
- Overtime Pay: Excess flying pay beyond 70 hours per month is compensated at 125% of the standard hourly rate.
- Flight Duty Pay: An additional NZD 10 is paid per block hour.
- Insurance: Comprehensive emergency medical coverage is provided by the recruitment partner.
Minimum Requirements for First Officers
Candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria to be considered for this prestigious opportunity:
- Possession of a valid ICAO Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- A current ICAO Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- A minimum ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above.
- Maximum age of 60 years at the commencement of the assignment.
- A minimum of 1,500 total jet hours.
- Hold a valid A330 or A350 Type Rating.
Type Specific Experience
Applicants must satisfy one of the following experience requirements on type:
- A minimum of 500 hours on the A330/A350 aircraft type, OR
- A minimum of 1,500 hours on the A320/A340, provided the applicant successfully obtains their own A330/A350 type rating or Cross-Crew Qualification (CCQ).
Preference is given to pilots who have flown on type within the last 12 months, although this requirement may be waived for exceptional candidates. Preference is also given to applicants who possess the right to reside in the United States, Australia, or New Zealand.
