First Officer Position: Airbus A330 / A350 – Fiji Airways

Fiji Airways, headquartered in Nadi, Fiji, is currently seeking experienced, type-rated First Officers to operate its A330 and A350 aircraft. The airline maintains an extensive international network serving destinations across New Zealand, the Pacific, Australia, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and Vancouver.

Contract Overview

These positions are offered on a three-year renewable contract basis. Fiji Airways supports international commuting by providing travel tickets between the crew member’s contract base and Nadi for the commencement of duties.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Monthly Base Salary: NZD 10,208 (for 70 block hours).
  • Accommodation Allowance: NZD 2,240 monthly.
  • Excess Flying Pay: Paid at 125% of the hourly rate for time exceeding 70 block hours per month.
  • Flight Duty Pay: NZD 10 per block hour.
  • Leave Entitlements: 24 days of annual leave and 12 days of sick leave.
  • Schedule: A minimum of 10 days off provided per month.
  • Insurance: Emergency medical coverage provided.
  • Travel Privileges: Discounted travel benefits for the pilot and family members on Fiji Airways.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the role:

  • Valid ICAO ATPL and a First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Valid A330 or A350 type rating.
  • Minimum of 1,500 hours of total jet time.
  • Type-specific requirements:
    • Minimum 500 hours on A330/A350 aircraft; OR
    • Minimum 1,500 hours on A320/A340, provided the applicant obtains their own A330/A350 rating or CCQ.
  • Recent experience: Must have flown on type within the last 12 months (waiver may be available).
  • Maximum age of 60 at the commencement of the assignment.
  • Preferred: Legal right to reside in the United States, Australia, or New Zealand.
  • Language Proficiency: ICAO English Level 5 or above.
