This pivotal, full-time position is based in Edmonton, Alberta. The Avro RJ First Officer is fundamentally responsible for ensuring the secure and highly efficient operation of the aircraft (RJ 85/100) while upholding Summit Air's unwavering commitment to client service excellence and operational safety standards. Responsibilities of the First Officer
- Operate the Avro RJ 85/100 aircraft safely, efficiently, and in strict compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
- Actively contribute to maintaining a robust and proactive safety culture throughout all flight operations.
- Represent Summit Air with the utmost professionalism, dedication, and commitment to superior customer service standards.
Mandatory Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a current Canadian ATPL or successful completion of the written IATRA examination.
- A minimum of 1000 hours Total Flight Time.
- A minimum of 500 hours Multi-Engine Time.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC or Red Pass).
- Proven commitment to an uncompromising safety culture.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills required for effective crew resource management.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing protocols is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous jet experience is highly valued, though not strictly essential.
