Position Overview

Summit Air, a distinguished leader in Canadian commercial aviation, is actively seeking highly qualified and dedicated candidates for the critical role of First Officer (FO).

The First Officer operates as an essential member of the flight crew, dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and professionalism across all assigned flight duties.

The Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Pilot and will work collaboratively with the Captain to ensure the seamless execution of the flight schedule. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and unwavering adherence to established regulatory and company standards.

Key responsibilities for the First Officer include:

• Assisting the Captain in all aspects of flight planning and performance calculation, ensuring optimized operations.
• Conducting thorough pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks of the aircraft systems and documentation.
• Maintaining precise and accurate entries in all required operational logs, journey logs, and technical records.
• Operating the aircraft in strict accordance with the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and all applicable Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
• Actively contributing to a robust safety culture and participating in mandatory training programs and recurrent checks.

Location and Application

This full-time position is based at Summit Air facilities in either Vancouver, British Columbia, or Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
