Position Overview
As a Dash 8 Captain with Summit Air, the incumbent is entrusted with the paramount responsibility of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. A strong commitment to exceptional customer service and an unwavering dedication to safety for all clients are essential attributes for this role.
Essential Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate Dash 8 - 300 aircraft as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) throughout Northern Canada.
- Maintain currency with all available flight information, including meteorological data, applicable NOTAMs, and meticulously verify the accuracy of type A flight plans.
- Actively participate in pre-flight aircraft inspections and diligently execute all post-flight duties.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4000 total flight hours.
- A minimum of 2500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
- A minimum of 2000 hours in Multi-Engine Pilot-in-Command (MPIC).
- Experience flying in British Columbia (BC) is considered a significant asset.
- A valid Dash 8 Type Rating with a Proficiency Check (PPC) that has not expired for more than 24 months.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
