Overview

Solairus Aviation is seeking a dedicated and professional Gulfstream G600 Captain to join our operations at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (KAUS). The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in performance, contribute to a collaborative team environment, and uphold Solairus’ high standards of safety, service, and integrity.

Essential Responsibilities

The Gulfstream G600 Captain is responsible for the safe and prudent operation of the aircraft. Key duties include:

• Ensuring the safety of all passengers, crew, and the aircraft.
• Reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft prior to operation.
• Conducting thorough pre-flight inspections in accordance with the Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Evaluating weather conditions and facility status for the intended route, including alternate airports.
• Conducting all flights in strict accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Accurately completing all required trip documentation and paperwork.

Candidate Requirements

Flight Experience

• Total Time: 3,000 hours
• Pilot in Command (PIC): 1,500 hours
• Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
• MEL PIC: 500 hours
• Turbo Jet Time: 500 hours
• Instrument Time: 250 hours

Certifications and Qualifications

• Type rated on Gulfstream G600 or comparable aircraft.
• Possession of a valid First Class Medical Certificate.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis.
• Requirement to complete annual ICAO International procedures training.
• Primary residence within a two-hour drive of KAUS, or a willingness to relocate.

Compensation

Solairus Aviation offers competitive compensation based on market conditions, geographic area, experience, equipment type, job duties, and training. Annual salary ranges for crewmembers are approximately $50,000 to $500,000.
