Position Summary

Solairus Aviation is actively seeking an accomplished and dedicated Full-Time Gulfstream G550 Captain to join a dynamic operation based at Teterboro Airport (KTEB) in New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be a standout colleague, consistently seeking excellence in every aspect of performance, and will contribute to a hardworking team committed to safely and expertly meeting the travel needs of clients while upholding Solairus' unique culture of safety, service, and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

The Gulfstream G550 Captain holds primary responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Ensuring the safe and prudent conduct of all flights.
  • Thoroughly reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status prior to departure.
  • Performing a comprehensive pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
  • Conducting a complete check of weather conditions and facility availability along the planned route, including all primary and alternate airports.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to Solairus Aviation's policies and procedures, as well as all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Prioritizing the safety and well-being of all passengers, the aircraft, and the crew.
  • Accurately completing all required trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.

Required Qualifications

Flight Hour Requirements:

  • Total Flight Time: 3000 hours
  • Pilot-in-Command (PIC) Time: 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) Time: 1500 hours
  • Multi-Engine Land Pilot-in-Command (MEL PIC) Time: 500 hours
  • Time in Turbo Jet Aircraft: 500 hours
  • Instrument Time: 250 hours

Specific Certifications and Requirements:

  • Type-rated on the Gulfstream G550 or a comparable aircraft.
  • Possession of a First Class Medical Certificate is required.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis is essential.
  • Commitment to completing ICAO International procedures training annually.
  • Primary residence within a two-hour drive from KTEB or willingness to relocate to the area.

Compensation

Solairus Aviation offers a competitive salary range for its crewmembers, from $50,000 to $500,000 annually. Compensation is determined by factors such as geographic area, experience level, equipment type/aircraft, specific job duties, training, and the assigned account.
